Descrizione del dritto	Central field displays the Slovak state coat of arms — a shield bearing a double-barred patriarchal cross rising from three mountain peaks — flanked symmetrically on either side by wheat sheaves curving upward from the base. The denomination numeral '5' appears prominently in the upper right, with the legend arcing around the upper periphery. The date 1939 is inscribed in the lower exergue beneath the shield.

Descrizione del rovescio	Left-facing portrait bust of Andrej Hlinka, the Slovak Catholic priest and nationalist leader, rendered in high relief with naturalistic detail including his clerical collar and a sprig of foliage at the truncation. The circular legend arcs continuously around the upper and lateral periphery of the field, separated by dot stops.
