Against the background of the Mitrydat hill, a bracelet composed of archaeological finds from the Kul-Oba kurgan is depicted in the central field, with stylized representations of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov flanking either side of the hill. The circular legend reads УКРАЇНА and 2000 along the upper portion, with the denomination 5 ГРИВЕНЬ inscribed in the lower field. To the left of the column, set against a townscape, stands the Church of St. John the Baptist, a landmark dating to the 10th–14th centuries. To the right, a staircase ascending the Mitrydat hill is rendered in detail. Semicircular inscriptions in the upper and lower fields read КЕРЧ and 2600, commemorating the city's 2,600th anniversary. |
