A bilingual legend encircles the device: the French inscription ETAT DU GRAND LIBAN runs along the left and lower arc, while the Arabic دولة لبنان الكبير occupies the right arc. The scalloped outer rim, a distinctive feature of this essai design, frames the entire composition. |
