| Obverse description | Central field features a finely rendered Cedar of Lebanon in high relief, its characteristic tiered boughs spread symmetrically, set within a raised inner circle. The date appears in both Arabic-Indic numerals (١٩٢٤) flanking the trunk and in Western numerals (1924) along the lower inner border. A bilingual legend encircles the device: the French inscription ETAT DU GRAND LIBAN runs along the left and lower arc, while the Arabic دولة لبنان الكبير occupies the right arc. The scalloped outer rim, a distinctive feature of this essai design, frames the entire composition. |
