At the base of the wreath, the branches are tied with a ribbon and flanked by a small Gallic rooster standing to left, a patriotic emblem of France. The wreath is composed of olive branches to the right and laurel to the left, richly rendered with berries and leaves. The design is enclosed within a beaded border.
