The tughra is surmounted by a stylised minaret or torch motif with decorative finials. The Arabic legend 'المملكة التونسية' (Kingdom of Tunisia) arcs around the upper field, while the dual date '١٣٧٣ - ١٩٥٤' (AH 1373 - AD 1954) appears below the central device. The denomination 'خمسة فرنكات' (Five Francs) is inscribed in large Arabic characters along the lower portion of the field, with a small engraver's signature visible at the very base. |
