Obverse lettering المملكة التونسية ١٣٧٣-١٩٥٤ خمسة فرنكات
(Translation: Kingdom of Tunisia 1954 - 1373 5 Francs)
Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a raised central boss with a finely granulated or engine-turned background, bearing the large numeral '5' in bold relief above the legend 'FRANCS' in capital letters. The Gregorian date '1954' appears at the top of the central disk, flanked by small decorative leaf or scroll ornaments. The country name 'TUNISIE' is inscribed in large capital letters along the lower arc of the outer border, with the word 'ESSAI' appearing to the right, indicating the essai (trial) status of this piece. The design reflects the clean, modernist engraving style characteristic of the Monnaie de Paris under Bazor.
