The Hijri date 1353 appears in Eastern Arabic-Indic numerals along the lower arc. The whole is enclosed within an ornate geometric and foliate cartouche with a dentilated outer border, reflecting the arabesque decorative tradition of the Husainid coinage of Tunisia. |
