(Translation: GRAND-DUCHY OF LUXEMBOURG 5 FRANCS THOSE WHO HAVE COUNTERFEITED OR FALSIFIED VOUCHERS WILL BE PUNISHED WITH HARD LABOR FOR 15 TO 20 YEARS.)
Reverse description Printed entirely in carmine-red on white paper. The central vignette presents the crowned Grand Ducal coat of arms of Luxembourg within an ornate cartouche, flanked symmetrically by two large guilloche rosettes each bearing the numeral "5"; smaller "5" numerals occupy all four corners. "LETZEBURG" appears in a curved banner at the top, and "FENNEF FRANG" is set in a decorative panel at the bottom, with the imprint "AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY" at the foot.
