| 正面描述 | The obverse features the Portuguese coat of arms at the lower left and a World Scouting fleur-de-lys emblem at the upper left, both rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The large denomination numeral '5' with the Euro symbol dominates the right side of the design. The circular legend reads 'REPÚBLICA PORTUGUESA' at the top and 'CENTENÁRIO DO ESCUTISMO MUNDIAL' along the right, with the commemorative dates '1907–2007' along the lower arc, all in Latin script. |

Portugal's 2007 scouting issue was struck to mark the centenary of the Scout Movement, coinciding with the World Scout Jamboree held at Hylands Park in Essex — the first Jamboree on British soil since 1957. Baden-Powell founded the movement following his experimental camp on Brownsea Island in 1907, making the centenary a globally coordinated numismatic moment; Portugal was among dozens of mints that issued commemoratives that year.
The proof striking by INCM is on .925 silver, a fineness the Casa da Moeda had standardized for its collector series well before this issue.
