Beschrijving voorzijde Motion picture prop note modelled on the Europa series 5 Euro. The European flag vignette at upper left bears the "Movie Money" brand inscription in lieu of a governor's signature. A classical arch vignette occupies the right field, with the large numeral 5 in grey-green guilloche underprint. The legend "EURO PROP" and "EBPO" replace the standard denomination text.

Beschrijving keerzijde Reverse imitates the Europa series 5 Euro layout, with a Roman aqueduct vignette at upper centre set against a yellow-green guilloche underprint. A map of Europe in grey-blue occupies the lower left field. The overprint "EURO PROP" replaces the standard denomination, and the disclaimer legend runs vertically along the right margin.

Opmerkingen

Movie money — also called prop money or film money — occupies a peculiar legal grey zone in most jurisdictions. In the European Union, Regulation (EC) No 2182/2004 governs euro reproductions, requiring that prop notes be clearly marked "SPECIMEN" or "PROP COPY," printed one-sided only, or differ substantially in size from genuine notes. This piece, reproducing the Europa series design that wouldn't officially circulate until 2013, raises an immediate question: it predates the genuine note by two years, which suggests it was produced either for pre-release promotional use or for film and television production ahead of the ECB's phased rollout.

The watermark inclusion is worth noting — most compliant prop euros deliberately omit security features entirely.
