| 正面描述 | The state coat of arms of the Republic of San Marino occupies the central field, depicting a heart-shaped shield charged with three silver towers on a blue ground, each surmounted by an ostrich feather, and topped by a mural crown. The shield is flanked by a laurel branch to the left and an oak branch to the right, with a scroll below bearing the motto LIBERTAS. The legend REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO curves along the upper periphery, while the engraver's signature A. NAPOLIONE appears in the lower field beneath the coat of arms. |

San Marino's long-running series of commemorative silver issues honoring composers reaches Bizet in 2025 — a composer whose reputation rested almost entirely on a single opera that flopped at its 1875 Paris premiere. Carmen was received so poorly that Bizet died three months later, reportedly convinced it was a failure. Within a year of his death, it had become one of the most performed operas in the world.
