| Obverse description | Against a deeply contrasted dark field, a large stylized depiction of a Fritillaria davisii bud and stem occupies the upper and central portion of the coin, rendered in high relief with delicate modelling of the drooping tepals and elongated lance-shaped leaf. In the lower left quadrant, the Greek state coat of arms — a shield bearing a cross, surrounded by a laurel wreath — is struck in relief. The circular legend ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ arcs around the left and lower rim, while the denomination 5 ΕΥΡΩ appears in bold relief to the lower right of the field. The engraver's mark is present in the lower field. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features a vivid polychrome coloured depiction of two pendant Fritillaria davisii flowers in full bloom, rendered naturalistically against a dark oxidised field. The flowers display characteristic nodding bell-shaped heads with richly patterned brownish-purple tepals and green stems with narrow leaves, accurately representing this rare endemic Greek species. The legend ΕΝΔΗΜΙΚΑ ΦΥΤΑ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΑΣ arcs along the upper left rim, and FRITILLARIA DAVISII arcs along the upper right rim, with a small floral ornament at the apex between the two legend segments.
