| 背面描述 | The European Union flag, depicted as a waving banner bearing a circle of twelve stars, is shown prominently to the left of the large numeral '5' which dominates the central field. Diagonal ruling lines fill the background, lending a dynamic graphic quality to the design. The denomination letter 'C' appears below the numeral, indicating cents. A rectangular cartouche at the lower right bears the word 'SPECIMEN' in incuse lettering, confirming the trial or specimen status of the piece. |

Liechtenstein is not a European Union member and has never adopted the euro as legal tender, yet a complete set of euro-pattern coins was produced in 2005 for collector sale. These pieces have no monetary status whatsoever — they were issued purely as numismatic curiosities, capitalizing on the principality's geographic position within the Schengen Area and its use of the Swiss franc in daily commerce.
The 2005 set remains the only such issue; no subsequent specimen series followed.
