| 正面描述 | The municipal coat of arms of Orbec occupies the central field, depicted as a heraldic shield barry with three annulets in chief and a fleur-de-lis in fess, all rendered in relief. The shield is presented without external supporters or motto. The design is framed by two concentric borders of raised pellets encircling the entire field, lending the composition a decorative, medieval character consistent with regional token coinage of the late 20th century. |

Orbec, a small Norman town of fewer than 3,000 inhabitants, issued this piece during the brief French néo-localisme wave of the mid-1980s, when dozens of municipalities printed or struck their own emergency-style exchange tokens for use at local festivals and commerce fairs. The legal basis was flimsy — the Banque de France tolerated rather than sanctioned these issues — and most series were discontinued within two years under quiet administrative pressure.
