| 裏面の説明 | The reverse features a full-color depiction of the Union Pacific 'Big Boy' articulated steam locomotive emerging from a tunnel portal set within a densely wooded mountain landscape. The locomotive is rendered in fine detail, showing its characteristic 4-8-8-4 wheel configuration and striking black livery with yellow and red markings. The upper legend 'HISTORY OF RAILROADS' arcs above the central vignette, while 'UNION PACIFIC BIG BOY' is inscribed below, both legends flanked by star ornaments. |

Union Pacific's Big Boy locomotives — formally the 4000-class articulated steamers built by ALCO from 1941 — were commissioned specifically to haul freight over the Wasatch Range between Ogden and Green River without requiring helper engines on the grade. Liberia has issued commemorative coinage under licensing arrangements since the 1990s, producing topical collector pieces with no connection to Liberian monetary history. This is squarely one of those.
