The uncolored milled border frames the insert, with the legend 'TITANIC' inscribed along the upper rim and the denomination '5 DOLLARS' along the lower rim, both in raised Latin lettering.

Aanvullende informatie

Liberia has issued commemorative coinage under licensing arrangements since the 1990s, producing dozens of themed pieces annually for the collector market — many of which never circulate within Liberia at all. This Titanic issue is squarely in that category, a product of the international novelty coin trade rather than any domestic monetary need. The "paper colorized" finish refers to a laminated color printing applied over the coin face, a technique common to this era of commemorative production and notorious for peeling with age.
