Obverse description The obverse is printed in black on white paper with blue-tinted guilloche underprint. At center, a detailed architectural vignette of Iolani Palace is flanked on the left by a tall palm tree vignette and on the right by a seated native Hawaiian figure. The denomination numeral '5' appears in each corner, with the serial number printed in red at upper left and upper right.
