| 背面描述 | The reverse features a dynamic composition celebrating the XVII Southeast Asian Games hosted in Singapore in 1993. Prominently depicted in the upper left field is an athlete executing a flying side kick, rendered in high relief. In the lower central field, two martial artists face each other in a sparring stance. In the upper right field, the official XVII SEA Games logo — comprising a stylised Merlion torch motif above a floral emblem — is displayed alongside the inscriptions XVII SEA GAMES 93 and SINGAPORE. The denomination $5 appears to the lower left of the field. |

Singapore hosted the 17th Southeast Asian Games in 1993, the second time the city-state had done so after the inaugural 1983 edition. The Games were notable for expanding the program significantly, with athletes from all ten ASEAN nations competing across more events than any previous edition. This silver issue was part of a dual-metal commemorative release — KM#115a designates the sterling silver version, struck alongside a copper-nickel circulation piece sharing the same design.
