Additional information

Singapore hosted the 17th Southeast Asian Games in 1993, the second time the city-state had done so after the inaugural 1983 edition. The Games were notable for expanding the program significantly, with athletes from all ten ASEAN nations competing across more events than any previous edition. This silver issue was part of a dual-metal commemorative release — KM#115a designates the sterling silver version, struck alongside a copper-nickel circulation piece sharing the same design.
