| Description du revers | The reverse depicts two male sprinters in full stride, juxtaposing ancient and modern athletic traditions: a nude classical runner rendered in a Greco-Roman sculptural style occupies the middle ground to the left, while a contemporary athlete in competition attire strides dynamically in the foreground to the right. Ancient Greek architectural columns are visible in the lower left field, evoking the origins of the Olympic Games. A Greek-key meander border frames the lower and lateral periphery.
