| Obverse description | The obverse displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau, featuring a shield with a central device of Neptune seated and holding a trident, accompanied by a mermaid and a treasure chest, surmounted by a traditional outrigger canoe. The shield is flanked by decorative floral scrollwork and encircled by eight six-pointed stars. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper rim, with the series title RAINBOW'S END inscribed within the lower portion of the shield, and the denomination 5$ positioned in the lower field. |
