| Obverse description | The coat of arms of the Republic of Palau occupies the central field, depicting Neptune seated and holding a trident, accompanied by a mermaid, both set within a decorative shield flanked by ornamental borders. An outrigger canoe with a paddler appears above the shield. Eight five-pointed stars are arranged in a semicircle around the left and right periphery of the field. The circular legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper rim, while the motto RAINBOW'S END appears within the lower portion of the shield, and the denomination 5$ is inscribed at the bottom of the field. |
