Reverse description The reverse features a large central inset of an authentic fragment of the Nantan meteorite, an iron meteorite that fell in Guangxi, China, in May 1516, embedded directly into the coin's surface. The rough, textured surface of the meteorite fragment contrasts with the polished silver field surrounding it. The legend NANTAN METEORITE FALL - MAY 1516 arcs along the upper portion of the reverse field, with the year of issue 2006 inscribed below.
