| Descrizione del rovescio | Left portion of the field features a finely detailed portrait bust of Louis Braille facing left, rendered in high relief with naturalistic modeling of facial features and period attire including a high collar and cravat. The right and upper portions of the field are dominated by a large tactile Braille cell pattern with raised dome-shaped dots arranged in the standard six-dot grid, rendered in actual relief so as to be readable by touch. The French quotation 'On ne voit bien qu'avec le coeur' is inscribed in Latin script in the upper central field, with the birth and death years 1809 and 1852 appearing to the right. Braille script rendering of the subject's name and the quotation is also present in the field. |
