Beschrijving voorzijde The coat of arms of Nauru depicted centrally in the field, featuring a shield supported by two frigate birds with a flowering plant at the base, all rendered in fine detail. The circular legend BANK OF NAURU arcs above the arms, while the date 2011 appears below in the exergue area. The design is executed in a clean, polished style consistent with modern commemorative coinage.

Aanvullende informatie

Nauru has issued currency since gaining independence in 1968, but its collector coin program has long operated as a revenue mechanism rather than a reflection of national monetary history. This piece — a fractional gold issue with no meaningful connection to Napoleon or to Nauru — exists because the market for small-denomination pure gold coins with famous portrait licenses was commercially viable in 2011, not because either subject demanded commemoration.
