Tokelau's numismatic program is administered entirely by New Zealand, which has issued collector coinage on the territory's behalf since 1978. The islands themselves — three atolls with a combined land area under 12 square kilometers — have no mint, no banking infrastructure, and use the New Zealand dollar for all actual commerce. The "Yours Always" issue is part of a wave of themed silver releases Tokelau produced around 2012 targeting the romance gift market, a segment aggressively pursued by several Pacific issuing authorities during that period.
