Aanvullende informatie

Bermuda's quincentennial commemorates the 1505 Portuguese landfall, likely by navigator João de Bermudez, though the island remained uninhabited until the English shipwreck of the Sea Venture in 1609 — an event that also, indirectly, gave Shakespeare material for The Tempest. The five-century span this coin marks encompasses Spanish neglect, English colonization, and the oldest continuously operating parliament in the Western Hemisphere outside Britain, established 1620.

KM#160 is a low-mintage commemorative with limited secondary market depth.
