Další informace	The Bahamas gained independence from Britain in 1973, making this 1971 issue a product of the final years of colonial currency administration — struck while the islands were still a Crown Colony, two years before the Bahamian dollar replaced the pound-linked currency structure. The Franklin Mint produced these pieces under contract, part of a broader program of proof and specimen coinage aimed squarely at the collector market rather than circulation. Surviving examples in impaired condition are genuinely uncommon; nearly the entire mintage was sold directly to collectors in packaging.
