| Description du revers | A detailed bust of the Apostle Thomas is rendered in high relief at the center of the puzzle-piece shaped field, depicted facing slightly left with long flowing hair and a beard, consistent with traditional iconographic representations. A carpenter's square, the attribute traditionally associated with Saint Thomas, is visible to the lower left of the portrait, referencing his patronage of builders and architects. The name THOMAS is inscribed in bold raised lettering within a recessed panel arching across the upper portion of the reverse. Liberia's late-2000s religious series exploited a well-worn niche in the commemorative market: high-relief proof silver pieces sold directly to collectors with no meaningful circulation history. The "Christ and the Apostles" set issued individual coins for each of the twelve apostles, Thomas among them. None of these were legal tender in any practical sense — Liberia's actual circulating coinage bore no relation to this series, which was produced under licensing arrangements typical of Franklin Mint-style operations contracting with smaller sovereign issuers.
