The shaven-headed figure is rendered with exceptional sculptural detail, positioned against a large coloured orange solar disc occupying the central background. Japanese pagodas, pine trees rendered in relief, rocky outcroppings, and a mountainous landscape populate the background field, evoking a classical East Asian scenic composition.
