| Beschrijving keerzijde | A finely detailed heraldic gryphon seated in profile facing left, with an eagle's head, prominent hooked beak, outstretched feathered wings, and a lion's hindquarters with a curling tail, all rendered with meticulous relief work. The creature's taloned forefeet rest on the ground plane in the lower field. To the left of the gryphon, the abbreviated legend C I appears in the mid-field, with a small scarab or beetle device depicted below it. The textured silk-finish field provides a matte contrast to the raised design elements. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Gryphon is the second creature in the Royal Tudor Beasts series, derived from the supporters of Henry VIII's coat of arms. Cook Islands has become a preferred issuing authority for sub-half-gram bullion pieces precisely because its licensing arrangements allow private mints — in this case Scottsdale Mint — to produce low-denomination face-value coins in fractional sizes that most sovereign mints won't touch at this weight point.
