Obverse description Blue-tinted note with an ornate border composed of repeated denomination lettering "FIVE" in small serif type encircling the entire perimeter. The bank vignette appears at top centre, flanked by a five-digit serial number printed in small serif typeface at upper left and right. Denomination counters appear at both lateral margins, reading "V" and "FIVE" on the left and "5" and "DOLLARS" on the right. The issue date is partially pre-printed "18_" with the remaining digits and day completed in manuscript, and the note bears three manuscript signatures at the foot.
