The outer border consists of an ornate, textured silver ring decorated with elaborate gilt arabesques and foliate lobes in a traditional Islamic geometric style. A curved Arabic commemorative legend reading 'الذكرى الخامسة والعشرون لتحرير دَولة الكويت' (The 25th Anniversary of the Liberation of the State of Kuwait) arcs across the lower field of the inner disc. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central gilt inner disc bearing the official seal of the Central Bank of Kuwait, depicting a traditional Kuwaiti dhow (boom) sailing vessel on stylised waves within a circular border. The English legend 'THE 25th ANNIVERSARY OF THE LIBERATION OF THE STATE OF KUWAIT' arcs around the upper periphery of the inner disc, while 'CENTRAL BANK OF KUWAIT' and the denomination '5 DINARS / خمسة دنانير' appear in the lower field in bilingual Latin and Arabic script. The outer border replicates the obverse's ornate textured silver ring with gilt arabesque and foliate lobe decoration in a traditional Islamic style.
