Obverse description Central gilt inner disc featuring a saluting soldier silhouette to the left and a military tank in the lower field, accompanied by the Coat of Arms of Kuwait with an enamelled Kuwaiti flag shield. The date '٢٦ فبراير ٢٠١٦ / February 26th 2016' appears in bilingual Arabic and Latin script at the upper portion of the inner disc. The outer border consists of an ornate, textured silver ring decorated with elaborate gilt arabesques and foliate lobes in a traditional Islamic geometric style. A curved Arabic commemorative legend reading 'الذكرى الخامسة والعشرون لتحرير دَولة الكويت' (The 25th Anniversary of the Liberation of the State of Kuwait) arcs across the lower field of the inner disc.

Reverse description Central gilt inner disc bearing the official seal of the Central Bank of Kuwait, depicting a traditional Kuwaiti dhow (boom) sailing vessel on stylised waves within a circular border. The English legend 'THE 25th ANNIVERSARY OF THE LIBERATION OF THE STATE OF KUWAIT' arcs around the upper periphery of the inner disc, while 'CENTRAL BANK OF KUWAIT' and the denomination '5 DINARS / خمسة دنانير' appear in the lower field in bilingual Latin and Arabic script. The outer border replicates the obverse's ornate textured silver ring with gilt arabesque and foliate lobe decoration in a traditional Islamic style. The Arabic bank name 'بَنك الكُوَيت المَركزي' is inscribed within the inner disc border.
