Obverse description Central field features the Arabic numeral ٥ (5) within a raised circle, with the denomination spelled out in Arabic script (خمسة دنانير, 'Five Dinars') directly below. The legend الجمهورية العراقية ('Republic of Iraq') curves along the upper periphery, while the patriotic slogan النصر لنا ('The victory is ours') appears along the lower periphery. Two ornamental interlaced geometric rosette devices flank the central circle on either side, serving as decorative separators. The coin bears a milled edge and the overall design is rendered in bold, high-relief Arabic calligraphy.
