备注

The Iraq Currency Board was a transitional authority, established under British oversight in the years following the 1920 mandate and before Iraq's full monetary independence. This 1931 issue predates the founding of the National Bank of Iraq by over two decades — the Currency Board continued operating until 1947, longer than most comparable mandate-era institutions.

Hilton Young, whose signature appears on this note, was at the time Iraq's Minister of Finance — a British appointment. He had previously chaired the 1929 Hilton Young Commission on East African currency, making his tenure across multiple colonial monetary systems one of the more consequential, if underexamined, chapters in interwar finance.
