Arabic text panel at centre carries the denomination خمسة دنانير and the issuing authority inscription, dated 1931, flanked by ornamental corner rosettes. Serial number A036,325 appears twice, at upper right and lower left, with two manuscript signatures below centre. |

Predominantly rose-purple intaglio design with a large guilloche numeral 5 vignette at left bearing the legend DINARS below, flanked by intricate lathe-work borders on both sides. Central panel carries the bilingual English text inscription with the date Baghdad, 1st July, 1931, and FOR THE IRAQ CURRENCY BOARD. A blank oval watermark window occupies the right portion, and two manuscript signatures appear along the lower margin. |
