The note carries extensive bilingual legal tender text in Spanish across the centre field.

Description du revers	Printed in dark green on beige paper. The centre of the reverse is dominated by a vignette of the Nicaraguan Coat of Arms — a triangle enclosing five volcanoes beneath a radiating sun — set within an elaborate engine-turned guilloche framework. Large ornamental numeral '5' counters appear at left and right within interlocking lathe-work rosettes, with the denomination cartouche at the foot and the bilingual bank title across the top.
