Printed in solid green intaglio, the reverse centres on a circular medallion containing a bust portrait of Christopher Columbus in right profile. Large numeral '5' vignettes appear at left and right within guilloche rosettes, and the bank title runs across the top. A circular cancellation stamp is visible at left, and a manuscript date 'San Salvador, 24 de Octubre de 1956' appears below the portrait. The imprint of the American Bank Note Company is at the bottom margin. |
