Two heraldic shields, rendered in a woodcut style, are placed in the upper-left and upper-right corners. The issuer's name 'CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE TARARE' is inscribed in a cartouche at the top centre, with the large numeral '5' and the word 'CENTIMES' in bold letterpress below, set against a pale cream ground. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse displays an elaborate guilloche border identical in style to the obverse, with acanthus-leaf corner ornaments. At the centre, a large dark oval vignette carries an interlaced monogram of the letters 'CCT' (Chambre de Commerce de Tarare), flanked symmetrically by sprigs of olive and oak leaves. The four towns of the chamber's jurisdiction — 'THIZY', 'TARARE', 'LAMURE', and 'AMPLEPUIS' — are inscribed in the four quadrants surrounding the central vignette, with signature lines for the Treasurer and President below, and the printer's imprint 'IMP. B. ARNAUD LYON-PARIS' at the foot. |
