| Obverse description | The obverse is enclosed within a finely executed guilloche border with repeating foliate and oval ornamental motifs at the corners and sides. Two heraldic shields, rendered in a woodcut style, are placed in the upper-left and upper-right corners. The issuer's name 'CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE TARARE' is inscribed in a cartouche at the top centre, with the large numeral '5' and the word 'CENTIMES' in bold letterpress below, set against a pale cream ground. |
