| Obverse description | Central device depicts the Sol de Mayo (Sun of May), a radiant sun with alternating straight and wavy rays emanating from a central disk bearing a stylized human face. Two varieties exist: KM#109a.1 features a smaller sun face without eyebrows or pupils, while KM#109a.2 displays a larger face filling the inner circle with distinctly marked eyebrows and pupils. The circumferential legend is divided into two arcs separated by raised dots: REPUBLICA ARGENTINA above and EN UNION Y LIBERTAD below, all contained within a beaded border. |
