Aanvullende informatie

The Central Bank of the Philippines was established only in 1949, replacing the Philippine Treasury and severing the country's direct currency dependence on the United States after decades of colonial monetary policy. These brass centavo denominations were among the first coins issued entirely under Filipino institutional authority, though the U.S. Philadelphia and San Francisco mints continued to strike Philippine coinage well into this period.
