The horse is shown in full canter with all four legs extended. The legend LIETUVA is inscribed in large Latin characters along the lower field, with the date 1991 centred beneath it in the exergue area.

These aluminium centai coins were struck in 1991 as part of the first wave of the restored litas system, though the litas itself didn't formally re-enter circulation until 1993 — meaning these pieces were minted well before the currency they denominated was actually in use.
