Mayer, which handled design and distribution for several African nations issuing silver bullion-adjacent collector pieces during this period. The series found its primary market in European collectors rather than Ghanaian circulation — none of these pieces ever moved through domestic commerce.
KM#54 is one of the harder assignments in the Ghana wildlife sequence to pin to a specific mintage figure, as production numbers were controlled by the distributor rather than the issuing authority.
