Beschrijving voorzijde Concave antique-finished field depicting a stylized cosmic scene rendered in fine detail. Two engraved orbital rings intersect across the field, with three spherical celestial bodies positioned along their arcs — a small body at upper left, a larger sphere at upper right, and a third at lower left. The central field displays a subtle stippled texture evoking a star field or cosmic surface. The curved legend REPUBLIC OF GHANA arcs along the upper portion within the orbital design, while the denomination 5 CEDIS appears within a raised circular cartouche at lower right. The date 2025 is inscribed vertically at the right margin, and the purity mark Ag 999 appears at the lower centre.

Aanvullende informatie

The Muonionalusta meteorite fell in northern Scandinavia roughly one million years ago and was first recovered near the Swedish-Finnish border in 1906. It is an iron meteorite of the fine octahedrite class, notable for producing some of the most visually distinctive Widmanstätten patterns of any known specimen — the result of extremely slow crystallization over billions of years in the early solar system.

Ghana's meteorite coin program has embedded authenticated fragments directly into the striking, making each piece unique by composition.
