备注

Ghana's cedi has been redenominated twice since independence — most drastically in 2007, when the "new cedi" replaced the old at a rate of 10,000 to 1, wiping four zeros from a currency that had been savaged by decades of inflation. This 2017 issue belongs to the post-redenomination series, printed by Thomas De La Rue under a long-standing contract with the Bank of Ghana that has supplied the country's currency needs for much of its post-colonial history.

The QR code inclusion, unusual for a note in this denomination range, reflects Bank of Ghana's push toward machine-verifiable authentication following a period of heightened counterfeiting pressure in the mid-2010s.
