| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse is dominated by a central allegorical vignette of a seated female figure representing Bolivia or Industry, resting beside mining machinery with a landscape in the background, rendered in fine intaglio engraving. The heading reads BANCO DE LA NACION BOLIVIANA in bold letters across the top, with a blue letterpress overprint reading BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA applied diagonally across the centre to indicate the provisional reissuing authority. The denomination CINCO BOLIVIANOS appears in the lower right panel within a guilloche rosette, flanked by serial number panels and the date La Paz, 11 de Mayo de 1911, with three manuscript signatures along the lower portion. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse is engraved in a single dark blue-grey ink with a central oval vignette of the Bolivian national coat of arms surrounded by flags and a wreath, set within an elaborate guilloche framework. The legend BANCO DE LA NACION BOLIVIANA arches across the top of the central cartouche, with NACION BOLIVIANA completing the surround below. Large numeral 5 guilloche rosettes flank the central vignette on both sides, and a repeating micro-text border of CINCO runs along all four margins. The printer's imprint AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY NEW YORK appears in small type at the very bottom centre. |
