Popis líce	The obverse is dominated by a central allegorical vignette of a seated female figure representing Bolivia or Industry, resting beside mining machinery with a landscape in the background, rendered in fine intaglio engraving. The heading reads BANCO DE LA NACION BOLIVIANA in bold letters across the top, with a blue letterpress overprint reading BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA applied diagonally across the centre to indicate the provisional reissuing authority. The denomination CINCO BOLIVIANOS appears in the lower right panel within a guilloche rosette, flanked by serial number panels and the date La Paz, 11 de Mayo de 1911, with three manuscript signatures along the lower portion.

Popis rubu	The reverse is engraved in a single dark blue-grey ink with a central oval vignette of the Bolivian national coat of arms surrounded by flags and a wreath, set within an elaborate guilloche framework. The legend BANCO DE LA NACION BOLIVIANA arches across the top of the central cartouche, with NACION BOLIVIANA completing the surround below. Large numeral 5 guilloche rosettes flank the central vignette on both sides, and a repeating micro-text border of CINCO runs along all four margins. The printer's imprint AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY NEW YORK appears in small type at the very bottom centre.
