The circular legend DIE CONCORDIER • CANTONE DER SCHWEIZ runs along the upper and lower periphery, separated by a small rosette stop at the base. The entire design is enclosed within a tightly beaded outer border. The composition alludes to the Concordat of the Swiss Cantons and served as a common type for several Swiss cantonal issues of this period. |
